The World of Kellwar

Kellwar is a mystic land full of many strange beings. You can find here humans, dwarves or elves but also orcs and minotaurs. The whole land is divided into two parts. Western part called Alberon is under protection of powerful entities serving to the principle of Law.

In the Mithrildowns on the north of Alberon are mines of hard-working dwarves. Dwarven mines are also spread more to the east, inside Storm Mountains, where you can find Thistledown too, the home town of gnomes. Trading route down to south leads us to Antar, main town of human race and the most famous city in the Alberon at all.

As an eye can see, Antar is surrounded by widespread Grassplains where the other human towns are situated. Far to the west near the Wind Hills a peaceful village of halflings is set, evil creatures visit this place only very rarely. If we will follow western part of road further to south, we will enter Milgaya, ancient land of Elves. There is located Elvalirion, great town of Elves and also Alamar Forest, where the major part of young elven population is living. And now we are nearby the middle of Kellwar, where we can find large desert Sandia, and as we know it was not the desert for all the time but it was a peaceful sea before some horrible evil spell completely dried it out.

If we cross Border Hills, river Zurg or Styric Swamps near its mouth, we will enter territory known as Shadowlands inhabitated only by evil races and creatures. Try to find some way here is useless, there are only some ruined remains of it. It is better to use your orientation and walk through plains and forests or let to be led by some skilled adventurer.

Forest on your left side is called Dran Forest and horrors, living inside of it are better to leave where they are. To the east of ruined path is Dark Ocean, where as it is rumoured, is mysterious Dragon Archipel and Elders of nations say that there are dragons living on it. Largest part of Shadowlands is covered by Mountains of Horrors, where are grottos of various kinds of vicious monsters and nasty creatures.

Through the middle of the mountains is going Iron road, the road, completely made of iron and it was built by thousand of servants of dark God Fingol. Western part of Mountains of Horrors is called Blackbone Hills. These hills are inhabitated mostly with orcish tribes and similar 'greenskin' creatures. Terrible and dark citadel of Lords of Darkness is located somewhere in the middle of Mountains of Horrors. This city is under control of Dark-elves and its name is Necropolis. Only very few know where it is hidden and much less is the number of those who survived this knowledge.

If we will leave these mountains and we will follow the way to the north, we would enter Icy Plains of Raggrok, which are the home of wild barbarian tribes and it is known that also the labyrinth of minotaurs, the Maze of Cutharr is hidden deep in the snow of the plains. More to the west from the snowland we shall find a lonely mount called Goragrom, where Giants built their hold.

Only few time walking to the south would lead us to the lake Godun and Werewolven Woods. And as the last, we will visit Mount Octopus faron the east of Shadowlands, but only illusionary, beacuse nor the most famous heroes are able to speak about this mount without fear, because rumours said, that there is a temple where black priests praise the Darklord Fingol Himself.
