Learning
To learn a skill, ability, spell or trait or just simply raise something, you have to find a guild (it must be a guild of your class) where you can do that.
There are several types of guilds in War of Gods.
In the home towns of each race e.g. towns where you can be born are guildmasters that can teach you spells, skills or abilities and raise your levels or stats till level 10.
Guild masters over 10 with ability to learn till level 20 and 30 can be found in some other zones located on Kellwar. Some of them are easy to find and visit, while others might be guarded or even hidden.
Guild master that can teach you anything over level 30 are hidden on the astral plane and they are VERY hard to find and visit.
Each side has its own guilds so there is no chance that darkies would learn anything in whittie guild and vice versa.
To list all available features you can learn, simply type
list
when in a guild. Note that to be able to learn some feature, it also requires to know all the features the feature is dependent on. If you don't meet all the criteria for learning a specific feature, it will not be shown in the list.
To list all features available for your class, simply type
help all skills help all abilities help all spells help all traits
Note, that this is not available for all traits, because there are many secret places and legendary monsters, which are able to teach you a special trait. However, all the basic traits are available in normal guilds.
To be able to learn anything, you must have some learning points remaining. You can get learning points by advancing levels at your guild. How much you will get depends on your wisdom. Once you have available learning points and you meet all the criteria to learn a feature, just type
learn <feature name> e.g. learn climbing or learn backstab or learn magic missile
Everytime you learn a feature, it costs you 1 learning point and slightly increases your knowledge of that feature. The actual increase of your knowledge depends on your intelligence. To increase your knowledge further, you need to repeat the command and spend more learning points.
Many skills, abilities and spells can be raised on usage. That means that using them, or practicing them should cause that you can automatically become better in that area. The chance depends on your intelligence. There is also a simple rule - when level of knowledge of a feature is increases, the chance to auto-learn decreases.
Your guildmaster should learn anything until some limit and then he will stop, but each ability, skill and spell can be raised more due to auto-learning.
