Deities of Good Races
- Leoric
God of Light and Love. God of pure Justice. Destructor of Undead. His power is the power of holy religion and his worshippers are much more capable to fight against evil creatures. He is highly favored among people of the Northern Kingdom. His followers are mainly humans, but you can find also high-elves, grey-elves or halflings among them. Paladins of Leoric guard Alberon against villains and evil forces.
- Laerwen
The all-mother Nature. Goddess of Nature and Healing. Goddess of Lawful Elves. She is protecting the whole nature against evil beasts. Laerwen, is part of the elven pantheon, but She is favored not only by elves. Many humans with tendencies to protect nature are among Her followers, and quite many are druids or rangers.
- Kovarian
God of dwarves and their kins. He is the God of Earth and as such, there is not much friendship between him and Brom if one can say something about incomprehensible relations of immortal beings. Kovarian is a deity of subterranean races, dwarves and gnomes. He is also a God of Battle and War and many fighters rever his cause. He has usually form of an old dwarf with a long golden beard and a large battle hammer called Thunderer. Kovarian is rather neutral in mind, but he hate greenskins (orcs, goblins) and demons - this feature is from the war against tanar'ries. Dwarves don't trust to any demon whether it is or not an evil one.
- Brom
God of Storms and Air. The master of arcane powers and astral energy. He is the Summoner of aasimons and one of astralwalkers. He is neutral in the fight between Chaos and Law, but he is rather helping the side of Law and never that second one. Elders among elves said that he is founder of the illusion spells. He is a chosen deity of half-giants, but humans in his services are also quite numerous. Called Opener of the Gates and Astralwalker, His blessed powers lure mages and mindcrafters into his shrines as well.
- Voduvial
God of Peace and Water. Deity of sailors and mariners. He always has a form of an older man with a long green beard and a golden crown on the head. He is riding a chariot pulled by three sea serpents, causing high waves of of water splashing everything in their reach. His priests are known for their healing powers and humans and wild-elves are the most common ones to follow him. Protectors of the forests are also between those, who praise His name.
- Boelg
Boelg, another deity of the elven pantheon is a strange one. He is quite sinister and humans oftently fear to follow him, simply because of his strange ways. He is an elven God of Death and except elven race, only rangers and thieves use His wisdom to lead them.
- Palas
Palas, God of Sun is a lesser known deity but his paladins and fighters of Sun cross Kellwar and bring light into many dark places. Humans and also halflings like to let Him shine upon them.
- On
Quite strange deity with unknown name is revered among halflings. He or She is known under name On, but that is surely not the true name. Bards and minstrels are also amongst those who favor wild celebrations and light-hearted adventurous ways of this God.
Deities of Evil Races
- Fisarve:
Elder God, one of the creators of the world, the most powerful one of them, the one, who had concentrated the whole power of Elder Gods in Him. Now He represents the Chaos and its forces.
He is known also as Darklord - the most evil one amongst dark part of the pantheon. Every other evil God is under His will.
He is the God of Night, Darkness, Evil and Death, Elder amongst other Gods and only the most evil and corrupted ones are known to pray to this sinister deity. It is supposed that members of the Black Jyhad are fanatic followers of this God. It is well known that His minions are always trying to murder everything lawful.
- Kharmak
Eye and ear of Darklord, His left hand, the so-called God of Knowledge. Those following Him benefit from the dark wisdom His faith brings. Many dark races pray at his shrines, duergars, dark-elves and svirfneblins are the most common ones. Those searching for forbidden powers like necromancers and unholy doomguards also serve him often.
- Kraggad
Masters of smithing craft among dark races are those who pray to Kraggad, duergen and svirfneblin God of Smithery and Art. Followers of this deity rarely interfere with citizens of Alberon and rather prefer their evil thoughts aimed on the search of corrupted wisdom instead of fight.
- Betrezar
The Horned One. Furious God of Battle is the patron of wild fighters and orcish hordes or minotaur raids are often made with war cries calling his name. Barbarian tribes from the Icy Plains of Raggrok are another bunch of feral followers of Betrezar.
- Hroog
Master of Ice. It is known that people from far and icy Perath pray to this God. Purpose of this vile deity is to eradicate all life in the name of silence of the Ice. Usually minotaurs, duergars and svirfneblins are wearing symbols of this God.
- Zzarkandrek
A deity known as Mouth of Darklord. His followers can be found among cities' underground and many are of those that don't understand the corruption His revering cause.
- Lloth
Mother of spiders. Currently imprisoned in the Tower of Spider but still highly revered in the matriarch organization of dark-elven society since Darklord is too proud and unpredictable to try to praise to him.
- Ssep
Chaotic Evil God. The Outsider. He is independent to Darklord. He is the creator and patron of styrs and grants His blessing only to few. Thieves and mindcrafters use His protection in their affairs, but no others follow this God willingly.
- Surda
God of Fire is a popular God between robbers and bandits of the Southern Kingdom (which are quite all). They often call His destructive powers when attacking Vrieslav or Northern kingdom. Surda is not as evil as one may think but hatred between His followers and followers of Leoric causes many troubles, most commonly started by Surda's maniacal fanatics.
- Vannati
God of Just and Knowledge. Prisoned in the magic fire he has no power now and none of his followers has chance to be helped due of prayer.
Incarnations of Destiny
- War, Death, Famine, and Pestilence
The four horsemen of the apocalypse. Four lesser evil powers who are weak by themselves, but powerful when their clerics band together. They represent the powers of death, undead, battle lust, assassination, disease. They are independent to any God and with Chronos and Sandman are called Destiny.
- Chronos
Fifth of the Incarnations of Destiny. He represents the power of time, he is sometimes called also Lord of Time.

Gods killed in the History
- Isthan
God of ancient Valturi. First God of All Knowledge. He was hungry for informations and research, his race was the most evolved and civilized between the races of old, but he couldn't resist to fresh power of Elder Gods. He was the first killed by them and his race was completely eliminated and his cities were ruined.
- Tahn
God of Minotaurs. He was known as savage and brutal God, his answer to any question was always “Kill Ya !” He was slayed by Darklord during Age of Wars.
Worshipping
Clerics may worship any lawful god and shamans may worship any evil god.
Normally a player meddles only with one god (deity), but there may be situations where another god may be involved like sacrificing on an alien altar. How a god reacts on a player is mainly determined by the attitude the god has towards the player.
There are two ways to interact with a god, they are:
- prayers
- sacrifices
Praying
Prayers are mainly of that form that the god should do the player a favour. You can either pray for a special wish or place a piece of equipment on an altar to bless it, e.g.
pray for protection or place longsword on altar
The list of wishes you may pray for include (some are accessible only with greater attitude of your deity towards you):
- heal (heals hp/fp)
- rejuvination (heals mana/fp)
- satiation
- bless
- protection
- cure blindness
- neutralize poison
- equipment (armour, weapon)
- improved primary stat (strength, dexterity, etc…)
- etc.
By the nature of it a player may at most pray once per day, mostly he should wait longer, but a cleric and shaman may pray again in half of the time.
Praying too early and praying to an angered god is generally a bad idea because the god may become more angry and decide to punish you. To avoid the trouble you can 'feel' the deities attitude towards you if you type 'attributes'.
Sacrificing
Altars and shrines are spread throughout Kellwar with some high altars in the cities.
If you are an atheist (score shows in the line Deity: None) you may sacrifice anything on any altar to become a follower of that god.
sacrifice sleeves on altar
Generally, if you sacrifice on an altar of your god, you can lessen his or her anger (if you prayed too often) or increase his attitude towards you and he may eventually do something good to you if you pray to him. At least the deity is a bit happier which may influence the magic abilities of priests.
You can also sacrifice corpses of strong enemies or revive souls from corpses using a soul gem for later sacrificing on an altar.
sacrifice corpse
Sacrificing on an alien altar is a bit different.
If you sacrifice on an altar of another deity, things are a bit more complicated. If it is a high altar and the deity of the altar is not angry at you, you will become a follower of that god. If the god of the altar is angry at you, you will become an atheist which is definitely a bad thing, especially for priests.
If it is a simple altar or a shrine and your god is happy at you, you try to convert the altar in front of you to your god. Naturally, your god is pleased to have another place of devotion and the former god of that altar doesn't like what you do.
To abjure from a god (becoming atheist), simply go to an altar and desecrate it.
desecrate altar
Desecrating Altars
By desecrating an altar you will anger the deity and he or she may even reject you.
