Classes
War of Gods offers 10 diverse but balanced classes: fighter, thief, cleric, mage, paladin, ranger, doomguard, necromancer, shaman and warlock. The classes are not cookie cutter variations of one another, and have extensive play potential.
The class really determines the type of your character, what types of armours and weapons it can use and what skills, abilities, spells and traits it will gain throughout its adventuring. It affects its whole mud life and also the role your character will play.
You may have only one class at one time. There's not a single correct answer which class is the best. It depends heavily on your style of play, your accumulated experience in playing, and how seriously you want to be challenged.
Each of the classes has special bonuses, a set of starting skills as well as other skills, abilities and spells which characters can learn and improved further as they progress and gain levels during their careers. There is also an advanced trait system that helps to make your character as unique as possible.
Be aware, choosing a class is constrained by the choice of race.
